There is and awful lot of confusion about detoxification out there. I see all kinds of detox techniques from ionized foot baths to lemon detox diets. The confusion is far reaching with a keyboard and google by your side.
The truth is in order to detoxify efficiently and safely you must have increased energy. You see it takes a lot of energy to detoxify and if you don't increase energy the detoxification process will move very slowly. In my practice working with hundreds of clients we always increase a person's energy levels as the foundation to eliminating toxins.
A major component of detox diet and which detox recipes should be incorporated are a person's metabolic rate. You see not all diets should be the same for every individual. Some people need more quality fat and oil in their diet. Those people are called fast metabolizers and people who need less quality fat and oil are called slow metabolizers.
In a future article I will write about the details of these two different detox diets and detox recipes. For now let's be clear that not everyone should eat the same foods. One size fits all diets are ineffective and also can be dangerous to some people.
The right detox diets for a person depends on their adrenals and thyroid. If a person has underactive glands than that person is said to be a slow metabolizer. In contrast if a person has overactive adrenals and thyroid function than that person is a fast metabolizer.
The goal is to speed up the slow metabolizer and slow down the fast metabolizer both with correct diet and detox recipes. Our focus is to create harmony with both the adrenals and thyroid and have them become balanced. Balanced adrenals and thyroid will vastly increase energy as the foundation of energy production comes from these two very important glands.
As and example you would never want to give a fast metabolizer a lot of fruit in their diet. The reason is a fast metabolizer has overactive adrenals and thyroid. Stimulating foods such as fruit, regular coffee, cakes and candies as well as soda will stimulate and already stimulated metabolism. Even too much complex carbohydrates are the wrong food source for these people.
The fast metabolizer needs detox recipes that will help slow down this person's metabolic rate and the opposite is true for the slow metabolizer. So one can see that knowing your metabolic rate is a very important piece of information. With this info we can determine a correct diet and match up a person's metabolic rate with their proper dietary needs.
As energy levels improve so will detoxification and it will happen naturally, safely and at the body's own pace. Knowing your own metabolic rate is an important first step to good health.
